trend black blondes.

i recently had a conversation in which someone said that black women who wear blonde hair, wear it because their definition of beauty has been altered by white people. in short: they want to look like white women. i don't think this is entirely true. yes, i concur that our standard of beauty has been altered by white society, but i think that it's been altered by various cultures, mainly our own. allowing us the freedom and creativity to wear our hair in so many styles that we result in setting our own standards. so in this post, i'm cheering for the black blondes who in fact may have gotten their cue from marilyn monroe or jessica simpson, but dammit...they make black blondes look good.
